After one loyal customer stepped up and took on a dare, a cafe in Sydney, Australia is now offering free coffee for life to customers. But a little bit more than a loyalty card is needed in this caseto benefit from the offer; customers have to get a tattoo – of the cafe’s logo.
The cafe in question is The Hub House Diner in the city, and they came up with what some might consider the crazy idea early in March. It all started when local resident Telly Tsimbas, a regular customer since the diner first opened, was joking with barista Nick Papas. Nick said to him: “If you get a tattoo, I’ll give you free coffee for a lifetime.”
Telly had several tattoos already and figured another small one would not make much difference, so off he went to the tattoo shop. Ten minutes later, he had ‘the hub HOUSE’ tattooed on the inside of his upper armand a guaranteed lifetime of free coffee from his favourite cafe. He reckoned the offer was too good to miss, saying,“I live around the corner and was going everyday regardless, so it’s a good opportunity for me and I am saving money.”

The cafe has now opened the offer to anyone else who gets the cafe’s logo tattooed on their body. As yet, nobody else has taken them up on their offer, but it has certainly generated a lot of interest on their Facebook page.
So does Mr Tsimbas have any regrets? Only one: “I should have told them to bring back their chilli chicken burger and throw that in for free too.”
